"Bird of Paradise"

I Just finished this small watercolor...
Have been busy and haven't been using my brushes for a while...
I did this 9x12 inches,Watercolor in cold pressed (Arches) paper...
It was a lot of fun and really like the strong orange,yellow and blues...
I took it to the critique group today,and got some good feed-back...
I really hope to get out of this not-so active period and start painting more regularly...   
I also have to say that I've rotated the same image and I really liked it...
since this is the way it supposed  to be,I'll probably frame it like this...
But have been tempted to do it the other way...

"Untitled"

Well,this is what I've  been working on for the past 2 or 3 weeks.
I've been really busy and haven't done much painting.
I have to admit that the  geometrical design on the right side...
is something that I found in a book and I really liked it...
the original drawing belongs to Oscar Reutersvard and it is one of those "imposible figures"
in fact,this design is called "impossible corner".
I wanted to paint the pharo but didn't have anything else to complete the painting.
So I added the drawing and I also decided to add some of the colors that I used
for the circular shape on the lower left side of the painting.
this was finished on May the 24th '12
it is a 20"x14" painted on Cold pressed paper (Arches)

it was painted on Arches Cold Pressed and the size is 36x51 CM ...

I just finished this last night.
it is a little bit different but is something
I've been thinking about and I finally decided to do it.
I spent a week working in the composition and sketch...
there are a few nice things on this painting and I have
a few more projects coming...

I have to say that I'm really pleased with it.
It took me a while to finish it and I probably added more color that I really wanted.
but it was fun and finally,I did something after some inactivity.
