it is a watercolor  and it measures 9"x12".
painted in Arches  Cold Pressed paper.

"The Red Valve at the nick"

I'm back!
Here I am,with one of my "Unusual" subjects.
I'm just trying to paint whatever catches my attention.
I went to the the movies a week or so ago and I saw these pipes and this red valve.
I was immediately attracted by the subject and having my  cam on hand,I snapped
a few pictures.
I wasn't sure about how good the photos were going to be but I was actually pleased
and surprised when I saw one of the photos.
I really liked the way the sunlight  created this dramatic contrast in the lock and the front of the valve.
The "Redish-purplish"  (Gezz! I'm also creating new words!!!)  colors on the pipes were
really fun to paint.
At the end,it was a nice experience and I'm really happy about this painting and the way it
turned out.

"Untitled"

Here I am again after a few weeks of just being lazy...
I found this nice set-up that I really liked and decided to give it a try.
I  just loved the strong contrast of the light hitting the tea pot  and the dramatic shadows of the wrought iron.
it was actually something simple to paint and it gave me  lots of satisfaction,I have a  few other things going on but I'm afraid those are not going to be as good as I thought they were going to be.
I guess that I  just have to give them a try,otherwise...
I would never know how good they were going to be.
This is a 12x16 watercolor on Arches, cold pressed...
and it was finished on Oct. the 28th '13

"The Gate Keeper"

Finally, this painting has been in my easel for a couple of months...
Just waiting to be finished.
the Lizard  and lock were actually easy to draw and really fun to paint.
I really struggled with the textured wall on the right side, that's what was keeping me
from not doing it.
I finally found some courage and decided to finish it,I really have to say that I'm not happy with the texture...
but since this was my firs attempt at painting something this complicated..
I had to crop the painting in order of getting rid off some of the not-so nice texture and it looks a lot better.
This painting was possible thanks to  William F. Martin, since I used his Photograp.
The Original photo is posted in the PMP website and you can see it here...

"Still life with Lemons #2"

Here is a different version of the previous post.
I just could not resist doing one more painting
of those juicy Lemons...
I  have to admit that I took the photos a while back, but couldn't think about a title so...that's what I called them.
I really wanted to paint this before but I wasn't sure if that was going to work and I've never painted Lemons before.
Well this is the latest and now it's time to look for something else to paint...
this is also a watercolor, painted on Arches 12x16 cold pressed...

"Still life with Lemons #1"

Well,I'm back  after a few weeks of lazines...LOL
The truth is that I've been  a little bit busy and haven't had the opportunity
to paint.
this is something that I wanted to do for a long long time, just didn't have the courage to try
something new.
I personally like the way it looks and I have to say that it was a little bit easier than I thought.
it is a Watercolor 12x16 on Arches cold pressed...
