"Product of Mexico"

I can't remember how long it has been since I took this picture at a local grocery store...
I'm sure it has been a while, but finally...I decided to paint it.
it gave some problems since the beginning, the preliminary sketch was not as easy as it looks.
at least,it wasn't easy for me...
I think that part of the problem was the photograph,it was a little bit bigger than the way I painted it.
I did some cropping and cut out part of it,I left what I thought it will make a stronger  composition.
it took me a couple of days to paint it,but at the end...
I was really happy with the final result...
I decide to take the title from a small sign that was advertising the "product of Mexico"
6"1/2 x 7"1/2  inches,painted in arches watercolor paper.

  1. Hola Ina!
    Gracias por tu cometario.
    eres muy amable!
    bueno,es una pintura pequena...
pero ultimamente he estado haciendo trabajos mas pequenos...

    1. Hi Renate!
thank you very much for your nice words...
      you're so kind...
this is a small piece That I started as an exercise...
in a piece of scrap paper (I had used it on the other side)...
I wanted to paint this before but honestly,I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it...
I tried to draw my sketch 2 or 3 times and couldn't do it,I was so frustrated...
Then decided to try to do it again, this time...
I did some cropping to the original pic and that make the process a little bit easier...
I'll probably try to do a few more of this, since I have more pictures of the same subject.
      Thanks again for stopping by...
      Best wishes..."Nacho"
