"Still life with Lemons #2"

Here is a different version of the previous post.
I just could not resist doing one more painting
of those juicy Lemons...
I  have to admit that I took the photos a while back,but couldn't think about a title so...that's what I called them.
I really wanted to paint this before but I wasn't sure if that was going to work and I've never painted Lemons before.
Well this is the latest and now it's time to look for something else to paint...
this is also a watercolor,painted on Arches 12x16 cold pressed...

Well,I'm back  after a few weeks of lazines...LOL
The truth is that I've been  a little bit busy and haven't had the opportunity
to paint.
this is something that I wanted to do for a long long time,just didn't have the courage to try
something new.
I personally like the way it looks and I have to say that it was a little bit easier than I thought.
it is a Watercolor 12x16 on Arches cold pressed...

Well,finally!
I've got something done!
After a few months of inactivity this is what I came out with.
I wanted to do something different and as you can see from my previous posts...
I like Colors!...LOL
I think that I've seen  many Abstracts and I wanted to give that kind of feeling.
I originally wanted to do it in a more "Realistic" Way but then I thought I'll give it a try.
just for the fun of it.
It's probably not an outstanding piece of work but thanks to it I'm back and hope to spend more time
creating something...LOL

just waiting to be finished,but some work got in the way.

I have some ideas (projects) on mind  but haven't had enough time to  get to it.
This is a  14x20 watercolor,painted in Arches C0ld Pressed 140 Lb.
it was finally finished on Tuesday,May the 21st.

"Rusting on Pile"

I'm back!
Woww! I can't  believe how long it has been since I posted something in my blog.
I've been a little bit busy and sometimes,I'm just not inspired...
I've been working in this BIG piece for 3 weeks or maybe a month...
Well,the truth is that sometimes I don't do anything to it for  days and days...
it is a work in process but I'm not going to add much to it...
I've been having lots of fun doing it,but also had a few frustrating sessions...
I really hope to finish it soon and move on to my next project.

Here I am again,this is more an experiment than a painting...
I wanted to try something like this for a while.
I'm a David Poxon fan,I discovered his work not long ago and I'm really Fascinated
by the way he uses Textures,colors...and his subjects.
I really enjoy his work and spend quite a bit of time looking at his work...
it is very impressive and beautiful.
what really makes his work exceptional is the ability he has to create something beautiful 
from what most of us would say is just junk...
this is far from good but again,it is an experiment and I'm just trying to play with texture and colors...
I'm going to keep working with this kind of "Rusty" subjects...
this was really fun to paint,even though it took me a while to finish it...
it is a 7" 1/4  x7"3/4  watercolor on Arches and was painted on Jan the 19th   '13
 
 
 

"Untitled"

well,I'm posting what would be my first painting of this 2013.
I've been away from my brushes for a while,it was about time to
go back and start drawing and or painting.
This is from a Photo I've got somewhere...it is an Egyptian sculpture.
I should do some research to find out about his name.
It has the body of a Lion or something like that,but the face is Human...
I did some cropping to finally get what I believe is the most interesting
part of the picture.
I've always  wanted to try to do some Texture,I did several washes and splattering
on the right side,but I wasn't really happy with it.
I was getting to the point where I didn't know what else to do...
I got to the conclusion of adding some Texture with Acrylics and that's what I did...
After a few  months of inactivity,I'm really happy with the way this painting turn out.
A new year,New hopes,dreams...
